I’ve started a new fun exploration project with frame by frame animations. Already during the residency led by Qtine from Manchester in autumn 2025, I was really happy to get in touch with this technique – thanks to Sam Bonser, my co-artist at that time. Drawing on paper and photographing or composing them in After Effects to sweet loops.
My first motive: HipHop dancers. I myself have started taking classes at a local dancing school and got hooked by the moves of and energy. Leacnb supported me with short clips of her dancing, which I transferred to single frames and then started to redraw them in a minimalistic style. To be continued! 🙂
